Getting Started

To start off honest I have not always liked beer. To be even more honest i actually disliked it up until i was 25. I guess you could say it was the old cliche you always here "Beer, Gross it taste like piss!" Yep I was one of those people until I got older and decided to actually give it a chance. To my surprise I actually could stomach a few beers and they weren't all bad. Now fast forward 3 years, now i'm living in Germany, the Mecca (if you will) of beers Bavarian country! and all that shit. So i'm like Hell why im here i gotta try their beers. If any place could make me like beer this would have to be it. So i started trying them and to my surprise they were indeed better than I had back in the states. So one day im looking online and i see a post about a guy who was trying "The 300 beers you have to try before you die" and i thought that seems interesting but lets make it a REAL challenge. I should as i sit today have 3 years in Germany and i want to try 500 BEERS! Not all necessarily all from Germany but from here and wherever my travels may take me. So I figure hey might as well document this for the record. So I hope you will come along with me. And bare with me this is my first blog as i go down the ROAD TO 500 BEERS!
